Inspired by Alphonse Mucha; an Art Nouveau inspired representation of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse.
Exploring the different faces of bats, could be character sheets drawn in a similar style/color palette. Alternate possibility could be sculpted art dolls with wire armatures.
